A range of activities are available here in the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, including some of Tanzania's finest birdwatching opportunities, hiking and trekking trails, swimming in waterfall plunge pools, and the chance to spot some of the area's remarkable primates such as the Black and White Colobus and the rare and endemic Sanje Crested Mangebey and the recently discovered Highland Mangeby.
After an exciting day's activities, enjoy the luxury of birdwatching and primate watching from the comfort of the hotel itself. Relax over sunset drinks on the terrace of the Udzungwa Forest Lodge bar, surrounded by the calls of Crowned, Silver-cheeked, and Trumpeter Hornbills from which the lodge takes its local name. Watching the troops of Colobus swing through the trees of the nearby forest canopy around sunset is a unique and exciting experience.
